About Me

My name is Cassidy Shooltz, thanks so much for stopping by!

It is with immense joy that I can say "I belong to Jesus!" It is my prayer that each passing hour will be the avenue for knowing Him better. For many years C.T. Studd's words have rung loudly in my ears:

"Only one life t'will soon be past; only what's done for Christ will last, and when I'm dying, how happy I'll be, if the lamp of my life was burned out for Thee."

It is my hope that Let My Life Be a Light and Cassidy Elaine Photography will both lift your eyes to Jesus. I have a great love for writing, graphic design, photography, nursing and advocacy; these blogs have given me an opportunity to combine those passions.

I grew up attending church, but my life has not been the same since Jesus captured my heart at the age of eleven. He has radically changed my existence; now I can clearly see that this life is so not about Cassidy - it's totally about Him! How exciting is that!

Jesus has been ever faithful to me; in the calm sunshine and the raging tempest of life, He has been constant. Andrew Muarry once said: "The presence of God is not dependent upon times and seasons, but upon a soul ready to do His will and forget itself." In the past few years, I have had the privilege of studying nursing at Kent Career Technical Center, and I now work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. And summer of 2017 I attended Ellerslie Discipleship Training. A regular week in my life includes spending time with many kiddos, caring for several residents in a local assisted living facility, and editing an endless supply of freshly captured photos.

I long to see others standing strong in Jesus and falling more fully in love with Him through each day.

To sum things up,  I am a lover of Jesus seeking to hopefully encourage you to give your all in pursing Jesus and love Him whole heartedly, to be an advocate for the voiceless, to stand firm in Christ in a confused world, and to be victorious over sin. "For I the Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying unto you 'Fear not, I will help you'" (Is. 41:13).
